We are seeking a highly experienced UX Software Engineer Technical Expert / Unit Lead to drive architecture, design, and development of advanced software systems focused on user experience (UX), cloud connectivity, and enterprise-scale applications. This is a senior-level contract role responsible for leading technical direction, ensuring system integration quality, and mentoring engineering teams. This position plays a key role in defining software architecture, evaluating technical feasibility, and delivering secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions in a Linux-based SOC environment. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end software architecture, design, development, and testing of UX-focused applications Define module boundaries and ensure seamless system integration across complex applications Develop cloud-based and internet-connected software solutions Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and interface-level issues Ensure secure software design and compliance with cybersecurity best practices Design and deliver technical proposals and architecture plans for executive review Lead project planning, scheduling, and technical execution for large-scale initiatives Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality software solutions Support GUI development with a focus on usability and performance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 10+ years of software development experience Strong background in software architecture and full-stack development Proficiency in Java, Python, and C++ Experience with front-end and back-end development and system integration Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases Experience working in Linux-based or SOC environments (non-RTOS/ECU focused) Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills Experience with GUI frameworks and modern UI development tools Background in system integration, debugging, and modular architecture design Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plans Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD & D Insurance This is a high-impact technical leadership role with limited submissions allowed.
