All On-site Job Description Job Description:
In this role, you will contribute to the development and sustainment of mission‐critical software that delivers reliable PNT data to U.S. Navy surface ships. In this role, you will contribute to the development, testing, and installation of mission‐critical software components. This is an onsite role that offers strong mentorship, structured learning opportunities, and exposure to Agile development, DevSecOps processes, and CI/CD workflows.
Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance software features under guidance from senior engineers Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues Contribute to automated tests and participate in CI/CD-driven build and integration processes Support software design tasks, including documentation and interface definition Work within an Agile team, participating in standups, sprint reviews, and planning activities Follow secure coding practices and support DevSecOps‐aligned workflows Collaborate across systems, hardware, and test engineering teams Maintain documentation for reviews, audits, and configuration management
Requirements:
Foundational knowledge in one or more programming languages (C, C++, Python, or Java) Understanding of software development fundamentals, debugging, and version control Familiarity with Linux environments or basic command‐line operations Exposure to Agile development through coursework, internships, or projects
Preferred:
Hands‐on project experience involving embedded systems, networking, or real‐time software Experience with CI/CD concepts or tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar Exposure to DevSecOps concepts or secure coding practices Familiarity with automated testing frameworks Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in multidisciplinary engineering environments
