Secret, will hold TS if you have it • Program•C2BMC This position is for a Software Engineer on the C2BMC program. The candidate will be responsible for software development in Java for the Regional Applications / Enterprise Services (ENT) team working in Colorado Springs, CO. Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, application implications, and customer areas.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for in-depth analysis, support, design, testing, and user support of systems software, including problem resolution and integration Maintains currency, debugs, and configures related software products Works from specifications to develop or modify operating system applications Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs Works with system support groups to solve issues, set standards, and boost OS efficiency Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation Work on most phases of software systems programming applications, and may require minor instruction and guidance in other phases

Basic Qualifications:

Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start Experience and knowledge of software practices such as coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines, and configuration Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team environment Software engineering and development experience with Java/J2EE Enterprise application development on Linux (Windows experience desired) Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance and operational issues, identify root cause, recommend, design, and implement a solution Use of common software development and management tools such as Maven, git/GitHub, Nexus, and Eclipse Experience with Agile development methodologies Understand standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams

Preferred Qualifications:
