Soil and Concrete Testing Technician

Our geotechnical engineering firm is seeking a Soil and Concrete Testing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of field and laboratory tests on soil, concrete, and other construction materials. No prior experience required. On the job training provided.

Your Responsibilities will focus on:

Conducting field density testing of soils and aggregates using nuclear density gauges. Performing testing of asphalt pavements to measure compaction and ensure compliance with project specifications. Collecting and preparing concrete and asphalt samples for laboratory analysis. Conducting laboratory tests on soil, concrete, and asphalt samples, including: Sieve analysis; Moisture content testing; Concrete compressive strength; Calibrating and maintaining laboratory and field testing equipment.

Qualifications:

No construction testing experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous eye for detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license.
