Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Field Technician to join our dynamic renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar power systems across various sites. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical components, contributing directly to our mission of delivering sustainable energy solutions. Duties Install, inspect, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including fixture installation and wiring connections. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation tasks. Perform electrical work involving high voltage and low voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical components, inverters, wiring, and mounting structures. Utilize hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, plumbing tools, and forklifts safely to complete tasks efficiently. Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, construction site regulations, and quality standards. Document system performance data, maintenance activities, and inspection reports for recordkeeping purposes. Experience Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical construction projects involving solar or renewable energy systems. Strong understanding of electrical schematics, blueprint reading, and technical diagrams. Hands-on experience working with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems. Construction site experience with familiarity in roofing installations and fixture mounting. Knowledge of NEC standards related to solar energy installations is highly desirable. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and other construction equipment safely. Prior experience working on construction sites or in the renewable energy industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
