The Sous Chef is responsible for preparing and assisting the Executive Chef with kitchen operations. This position also assists with maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Prepare and cook meals for residents Assist the Executive Chef with overseeing daily kitchen operations Maintain the highest quality food products and service for our seniors Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards Ensure compliance with state, local, and regulatory agencies as they relate to Food Service Manage the entire kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence The sous chef could be the last line of defense to make sure each piece of food is safe, prepared correctly and tasty.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

Associate or bachelor's degree in culinary arts or an equivalent combination of education and 2-3 years' experience in food preparation One to three years of related experience Current ServSafe Manager Certification
