Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a lively, efficient work environment. Your leadership will drive the team to deliver outstanding dining experiences, uphold food safety standards, and manage kitchen workflows seamlessly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and management skills in a fast-paced, fine dining setting. Responsibilities Support the Executive Chef in supervising all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and consistency. Lead and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and excellence. Oversee food production processes, ensuring proper handling, storage, and inventory control to minimize waste and optimize resources. Assist with menu planning and development, incorporating dietary considerations and catering requirements to satisfy diverse guest preferences. Manage shift operations efficiently by coordinating staffing schedules, overseeing food service management, and ensuring timely delivery of orders. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas. Support inventory management efforts by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies as needed, and controlling costs without compromising quality. Experience Proven experience in banquet settings with a strong background in catering and large-scale food production. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment. Extensive culinary experience with fine dining establishments or restaurant management roles. Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and dietary department standards. Familiarity with inventory control systems, menu planning, shift management, and kitchen operations within the food industry. Hands-on cooking skills complemented by leadership capabilities in hospitality settings. Previous experience working in restaurant environments with a focus on food service management and catering logistics is highly desirable.
