THIS IS JOB POSTING IS FOR AN EXPERIENCED SOUS CHEF. YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN NON FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS. STAFF ALL REPORTS TO KITCHEN MANAGER.
Poppy's Bites & Barrels is a small business in New Bern, NC. Our goal is to to create an unique experience for our customers. Our food is a modern take on Southern Classics.Our work environment includes:
Growth opportunities Regular social events On-the-job training Flexible working hours Safe work environment Qualifications- You will need to be 18 years old, able to stand for long periods, work in a variety of environments, be expected to lift, load, and carry up to 40 pounds, and work with hot and cold food items.
- You must be able to understand and carry out instructions while working effectively with co-workers and managers.
- You must have experience working in a kitchen of some sort. Responsibilities
- Whether you are flipping burgers as a grill cook, creating fresh tacos, or hand breading chicken tenders you will be entrusted with creating the best food in America.
- As a member of our kitchen team, you will use Poppys Bites and Barrels recipes and methods of food preparation to whip up our full menu of Southern favorites.
- In this role, you will be tasked with correctly preparing menu items to our high standards of cooking. We offer cooks the opportunity to express food creativity and give input on our menu.
- You must also meet company standards of quality, safety, cleanliness, and hospitality in providing guests with the best quality food possible.
- As a cook, you will have the opportunity for promotion and continued development.
- Must be available on weekends/holidays.
- Guaranteed two days off per week.
