Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire a team of talented cooks and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. With your strong background in fine dining, food production, and restaurant management, you will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for excellence and innovation in culinary offerings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while fostering a positive, energetic kitchen environment. Duties Support the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service delivery Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all kitchen activities Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and catering arrangements to meet diverse guest needs Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste Coordinate shift schedules and ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the kitchen Contribute to the training and development of team members to foster a motivated and skilled workforce Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food production and culinary arts Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or catering operation is essential Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments preferred Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively under pressure Extensive experience in food handling, safety procedures, and inventory management Strong understanding of restaurant management principles including menu planning, shift management, and food service operations Excellent cooking skills with a passion for culinary innovation and quality assurance Previous banquet, catering, or hospitality experience highly desirable Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our energetic team where your culinary talents will shine!
