Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students with unique learning needs as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment near Fremont, NE. In this contract position, you'll collaborate with fellow educators and staff to foster growth and help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field Previous experience working with students who have a range of learning differences Strong skills in IEP development, classroom management, and progress monitoring Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual needs Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs Provide instruction in various environments, supporting students' inclusion and engagement Assess progress, modify goals, and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and related service providers Foster a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere to encourage academic and social development Maintain accurate records, comply with all state and federal regulations, and attend required meetings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support
