Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students at a dynamic elementary school with a focus on Mathematics, Science, and Children's Engineering. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year and centers on providing high-quality emotional and behavioral support services in a collaborative, innovative environment. You'll be part of a vibrant educational community that embraces hands-on learning through exciting programs like Project Lead the Way Launch, helping students thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required) Certification documentation and current resume must be submitted for consideration Expertise in managing Emotional or Behavioral Disorder (EBD) caseloads, preferably in a center-based setting Experience delivering specialized instruction and behavioral interventions at the elementary level Strong interpersonal and team collaboration abilities Flexibility and adaptability in a creative, engaging school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction, behavioral support, and case management services for students with EBD Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address academic and behavioral goals Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure inclusive educational experiences Foster a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom climate that empowers all learners Utilize research-based strategies and interventions tailored to student needs Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and parent conferences This full-time, on-site position follows a Monday-Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week) throughout the school year, offering the rewarding experience of helping students succeed in a unique, forward-thinking academic setting.
