Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a communication disorder classroom. Working with a group of approximately 10 students from kindergarten through 4th grade, you'll play a vital role in helping each child reach their fullest potential in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
Valid IL Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-4th grade), especially those with communication disorders, is strongly preferred Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for supporting diverse learning needs Ability to develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines Strong communication and teamwork skills Passion for fostering individual student growth and advocating for inclusive education
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with communication challenges Design, monitor, and update IEP goals in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams Collect data to track student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed Provide a safe, structured classroom environment that promotes both academic and social-emotional growth Communicate regularly with families and school staff to ensure continuity of student supports Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as required Enjoy a full-time assignment, Monday through Friday, where you'll have the chance to make a daily impact while working alongside dedicated professionals.
