Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in grades 7 and 8. Two dedicated educators are needed to work full-time with a manageable caseload of 10 students per teacher. The assignment runs from July 1st to June 11th, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact during the school year.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with students in grades 7-8 strongly preferred Ability to tailor instruction to a diverse range of learning needs and styles Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and staff Proven organizational skills and flexibility in managing a small caseload
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student on your caseload Provide direct instruction in accordance with best practices and state standards Track and report progress, adapting strategies to foster student growth and achievement Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate inclusive learning environments Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and goals Maintain documentation in compliance with local and federal regulations This position offers a highly impactful experience, allowing you to focus intently on a small group of students and see the tangible difference you can make over the academic year.
