Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference every day by supporting students with diverse learning needs in an educational environment near Cicero, IL. This contract role is perfect for Special Education Teachers passionate about serving K-12 students and looking to work full-time, Monday through Friday, for 35-40 hours each week. Your impact will be felt across various age groups and disabilities, including opportunities to engage with learners with learning, emotional, or autism spectrum needs. The position is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through the end of the school year.
Key Qualifications:
LBS1 Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) for grades K-22 is required Demonstrated experience writing IEP goals Prior service as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting Comfortable supporting students with learning, emotional, and/or autism-related disabilities Strong understanding of K-12 academic levels and instructional adaptation
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students Provide differentiated instruction, accommodations, and modifications according to student needs Collaborate closely with other teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all learners Benefits include a competitive hourly rate from $37 to $55, providing an excellent opportunity to grow your professional experience while making a meaningful difference.
