Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding role impacting young learners as a Self-Contained Elementary Special Education Teacher. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Multi-Categorical Special Education certification in South Carolina (required) Experience working with early elementary students, ideally within a self-contained classroom setting Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, IEP development, and data-driven teaching Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working alongside families, general education staff, and support personnel Passion for innovative, student-centered teaching practices and creating a positive learning climateKey Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small group instruction aligned with students' IEPs and curriculum standards Adapt and modify lessons, activities, and assessments to meet diverse learning styles and abilities Implement positive behavioral supports and foster a classroom culture that encourages respect and inclusion Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress, participate in IEP meetings, and update required documentation Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to ensure consistent support and celebrate student progressBenefits & Perks:
