You'll play a vital role in serving K-6 and 7-12 students qualifying under Emotional Disability, delivering instruction that nurtures both academic and social-emotional growth.
Key Qualifications:
Valid California Special Education Teaching License Experience working with students identified as having Emotional Disability Skilled in creating and maintaining IEPs, including completing assessments, writing reports, and facilitating/attending IEP meetings Proven ability to teach social-emotional learning and effectively support behavioral and emotional needs in a self-contained environment
Role Responsibilities:
Provide individualized special education services in dedicated classrooms for K-6 and 7-12 age groups Design and deliver engaging instructional and behavioral interventions that address each student's unique learning profile Conduct thorough assessments and participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs Lead or participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with families and multi-disciplinary teams to support student progress Foster a supportive classroom climate that promotes self-regulation, coping strategies, and academic achievement This position offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, with 35 hours per week, beginning August 2026 and running through June 2027. The compensation for this role ranges from $50-$60 per hour, with weekly pay to ensure timely and reliable earnings.
