This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction to students with moderate to severe needs, working alongside dedicated educators in vibrant classroom settings across multiple locations in Bucks County.
Key Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher certification, or an Emergency Permit with documented program enrollment towards full certification Proven experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities and managing varied behavioral needs Reliable personal transportation and residence within 35 minutes of assigned school site Ability to commit fully to the summer schedule, including setup and instructional dates Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to be flexible with classroom assignment and location based on student needs Clear professional references from a supervisor in a recent SPED role Understanding of Pennsylvania DOE credentialing process and timelines
Role Responsibilities:
Participate in teacher orientation and classroom setup: June 23-25, 2026 (8:30am-3:00pm) Provide enriching, individualized instruction during ESY from June 29 to July 30, 2026, Monday-Thursday (teacher hours: 8:30am-3:00pm; student hours: 9:00am-2:30pm) Implement IEPs, manage classroom routines, and collaborate with support personnel Maintain thorough documentation on student progress and interventions Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment sensitive to diverse needs Enjoy a focused weekday schedule supporting students at schools close to your home when possible. Classroom and site assignments are shared in late spring, with flexibility ensured to match your expertise to student needs.
