Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a dedicated group of elementary students who benefit from significant support services. This full-time position offers an engaging environment where your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will make a meaningful impact during the 2026-2027 school year, from August 5, 2026, through May 21, 2027. You'll work with a manageable caseload of 6-8 students, allowing for individualized attention and the opportunity to build strong, positive relationships.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching credential required Experience working with elementary-aged children in special education settings, especially those requiring significant support Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers Ability to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and creativity in teaching Team player who is committed to fostering inclusive educational experiences
What You'll Do:
Deliver high-quality instruction and interventions tailored to each student's goals and needs Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Foster a positive, safe, and supportive classroom culture Maintain effective communication with parents, caregivers, and other educators Track and report on student progress, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements Participate in professional development and staff meetings to stay current on best practices This position places you at the heart of an elementary learning community, where your dedication is valued and you can thrive professionally.
