This assignment runs from August 4, 2026, through May 27, 2027 (subject to the official school calendar), offering the unique opportunity to foster academic and social development for diverse learners.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Holds a current South Carolina Department of Education teaching license in a Special Education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities) Demonstrated expertise working with students with a range of special education needs Flexibility and adaptability for working with evolving caseloads Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, families, and administrators Commitment to creating inclusive, nurturing classroom environmentsPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for assigned students Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans in accordance with state and federal regulations Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies as required Maintain thorough, timely documentation and communicate with parents/guardians Partner constructively with team members and support personnel to ensure student success Participate in IEP meetings, school-based trainings, and ongoing professional development This position is ideal for dedicated educators ready to make a measurable difference across a school year.
