This rewarding contract opportunity offers full-time, onsite work for passionate educators with expertise in delivering specialized instruction and fostering student growth. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a key role in providing individualized education, collaborating with general education professionals, and ensuring compliance with students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Your ability to create an inclusive learning atmosphere and communicate effectively with staff and families will drive meaningful progress for your students.
Ideal Qualifications:
Possess current Georgia Special Education Teacher licensure/certification Prior experience in school-based SPED environments preferred Proficiency in collaborating with general education colleagues and supporting IEP implementation Exceptional classroom management and organizational skills Demonstrated documentation and progress monitoring abilities Commitment to full-time, onsite work throughout the 2026/2027 school year
Primary Duties:
Deliver direct, individualized instruction to students with varying needs Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers Support the development, implementation, and assessment of IEPs Collect and maintain detailed progress notes and other required documentation Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Engage in ongoing communication with families and school personnel This position requires 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with caseload specifics determined upon assignment. Reliable transportation and readiness for onsite engagement are a must.
