Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in special education to a supportive, collaborative school environment for the 2026/2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite opportunity invites passionate Special Education Teachers to empower students by delivering tailored instruction and fostering an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere. You'll be working a standard schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, collaborating closely with general education teachers and support staff. The caseload will be determined based on student needs, offering the chance to leverage your strengths and make a meaningful impact across a range of abilities.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active Georgia Special Education Teacher certification or licensure Previous experience in a school-based special education setting is highly valued Demonstrated expertise in IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and thorough documentation Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and parent engagement Excellent classroom management and adaptability to meet diverse student needs Availability to fulfill full-time, onsite responsibilities throughout the entire school year
Core Responsibilities:
Develop, adapt and deliver individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs Maintain accurate records and meet compliance requirements for documentation and reporting Collaborate with general and special education staff to plan interventions, modifications, and inclusive activities Foster a respectful and safe classroom culture for students with diverse learning styles and abilities Communicate proactively with families and multidisciplinary teams Participate in professional development opportunities This contract position offers a rewarding way to progress in your special education career within a dedicated school community.
