Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact in young lives as a Special Education Teacher in an inspiring, supportive school environment! Multiple full-time contract opportunities are available for dedicated educators interested in working with elementary and middle school students within dynamic inclusion and self-contained settings. With para support provided, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues and have the resources and encouragement you need to thrive.
There are four immediate openings:
Two roles at the elementary level (grades K-5) providing inclusive education One elementary (K-5) position in a self-contained classroom One middle school position (grades 6-8) focused on inclusion All positions offer 37.5 hours per week and begin as soon as possible, continuing through the remainder of the school year.
Qualifications & Background:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience teaching in K-8 settings strongly preferred Understanding of IEP implementation, differentiated instruction, and student advocacy Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Passion for fostering growth in diverse learners Adaptability and positivity in a team-focused atmosphere
Your Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, individualized instruction based on student IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers and para professionals to support inclusion Monitor progress, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings Create and maintain an encouraging, structured classroom environment Communicate regularly with families about student growth and needs Support social/emotional development and classroom engagement Discover a fulfilling role where your expertise uplifts students and partners with caring colleagues.
