Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting student success as a Special Education Teacher during the 2026-2027 school year! This contract opportunity offers the chance to work across two districts in the scenic area near Florence, MT. With a 4-day workweek, you'll spend three days each week at one district and one day at the other, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a balanced schedule. We're seeking an educator who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to making a difference throughout both districts. Adaptability, a team-oriented mindset, and a genuine passion for special education are essential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching credential Previous experience in a K-12 special education setting preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to travel between two district sites within the week Flexible, positive approach to working with diverse teams and student needs Ready to foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with varying learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to promote student achievement Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed Engage with families, providing regular updates on student growth and success Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal requirements
