Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Hold a valid North Carolina SPED teaching license Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-age students in a self-contained setting Skilled in managing behavioral needs and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and other staff Commitment to inclusive education and positive behavioral interventions
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute tailored lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student Foster a supportive and safe classroom environment Coordinate with paraprofessionals to maximize student support Track and document progress, adapting strategies as needed Communicate regularly with families and colleagues Participate in virtual, casual panel interviews as part of the selection process
