In this contract role near Pacolet, SC, you'll engage with students who need your expertise and advocacy. You'll play a critical part in supporting learners, collaborating with educators and families, and ensuring every student receives a quality, individualized educational experience.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Active and valid South Carolina Department of Education teaching license in a special education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities) Experience or strong knowledge in special education instruction, IEP development, and progress monitoring Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs), tailoring lessons to meet diverse learning needs Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines Utilize data-driven strategies to assess student progress and modify instruction accordingly Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote academic and behavioral growth Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings This contract position is set to begin in early August and run through late May, in alignment with the school calendar for a typical 37.5-hour workweek.
