Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract role as a Special Education Teacher serving students on the Southeast Texas Coast. This full-time opportunity (40 hours per week) begins August 3, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027. With over 50 vacancies to be filled, there are ample options to match your preferences for physical campus locations. Each professional will be assigned to a single school, partnering with educators and families to provide crucial services throughout the academic year. Your expertise will directly impact students with diverse needs, particularly those on the Autism spectrum or with severe behavioral challenges. Candidates with experience in these areas will receive priority consideration as we seek passionate individuals ready to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment. To be considered, you'll need: An active Texas DOE teaching certification in Special Education Experience supporting students with Autism or severe behaviors (preferred) Willingness and ability to complete Texas fingerprinting requirements promptly, if not already on file Flexibility to adapt to varied assignments and school environments Commitment to full-time hours on a consistent schedule In this role, your responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborating with fellow educators, families, and support staff Managing a well-defined caseload and tracking student progress Creating structured, inclusive classroom environments Utilizing evidence-based strategies to address behavioral and academic needs Find fulfillment and professional growth contributing to a vibrant educational community.
