Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding role as an Intensive Special Education Teacher, working in a substantially separate classroom with an exceptional team. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by providing highly specialized support to a small group of students with significant needs, including multiple disabilities and medical complexities. The school year runs now through June 2026, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:10 AM to 3:05 PM, focusing on students in grades 3 through 6.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts DESE Special Education license required Severe Disabilities (PreK-8) endorsement preferred Experience working with students with multiple disabilities, including significant medical and physical needs Strong ability to deliver individualized instruction and maintain IEP compliance Effective collaboration skills with paraprofessionals and related service staff Knowledge of data collection, progress monitoring, and adaptive techniques for complex learnersKey Responsibilities:
Provide targeted, individualized instruction in alignment with each student's IEP goals Support students with complex medical, physical, and developmental needs in collaboration with classroom support staff (Para/RBT/CNA or LPN) Collect and analyze student data to monitor growth and progress Maintain thorough records and ensure all compliance requirements are met Partner with related service providers and families to create a comprehensive educational experienceBenefits Include:
