Special Education ESY Paraprofessional - Summer 2026 Richfield Public Schools 7001 Harriet Ave (Show on map) May 12, 2026 The Richfield Public School District is now accepting applications for a Summer Districtwide Special Education ESY Paraprofessional. This position will support students in our extended school year (ESY) programs. The elementary ESY program will be at Richfield STEM Elementary, Secondary and Transition Plus programs at Richfield Middle School and early childhood special education (ECSE) at Central Education Center.

Hours:

ECSE:

8:15 a.m- 12:45 p.m (Tuesday -Thursday only)

Elementary:

7:25 a.m.- 11:45 a.m

Secondary:

8:15 a.m-12:45 p.m

Transition Plus:

8:15 a.m - 12:45 p.m

Dates:

June 16: Professional Development and Orientation Day (Schedule to be determined) June 22-25 (Week 1): Monday-Thursday June 29-July 2 (Week 2): Monday- Thursday July 6-9 (Week 3): Monday-Thursday July 13-16 (Week 4): Monday-Thursday July 20-23 (Week 5):

Monday- Thursday Professional Development:

To support the summer program staff, professional development and orientation will be provided on June 16. Staff are expected to attend and will be compensated for this professional development/orientation day.

Requirements:

Must be highly qualified, providing supporting documentation having 1 of the 3 listed below: Completed two years of study (equaling 60 or more credit hours) from an accredited institution of high education (Transcripts). Have an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education (Transcripts). Obtained passing score on the MN-approved assessment ParaPro or ParaEducator, which measures math and reading skills (Certification).

Pay Rate:

$23.19-$26.30 (Based on education and experience) •Beginning of summer programming 2026, school year paraprofessionals who work as a paraprofessional in the summer school program will receive a stipend amount of a $1.00 over and above their base hourly rate of pay for the summer program hours.• Application deadline: Open until filled.
