Qualifications/Description:

Ability to physically attend to student care needs, including personal care, diapering, transfers to and from wheelchair, tube feeding, medication administration, augmentative communication, assistive technology devices and wheelchair mobility; Ability to lift 50 pounds; Provide support to students within general/special education school settings and the community; Experience working with students with disabilities, including but not limited to cognitive impairments, autism, and limited communication is preferred; Ability to monitor and manage student behavior; Ability to follow, implement and document all aspects of Positive Behavior Intervention Plan; Effective communication skills with a variety of staff members; Ability to work with children in a caring, nurturing manner; Demonstrates flexibility, teamwork, organization and strong work ethic; Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; Basic computer skills preferred; Ukeru and/or CPI training is preferred. One of the following preferred: 60 credit hours of college credit Associate's degree College Board's SAT score of at least a 480 on evidence-based reading and writing and a 530 on math ETS Parapro Assessment with a passing score of 460
