Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (SPED) to support students in a school-based setting in Kenai, Alaska. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, develop IEPs, collaborate with school staff and families, and help students achieve academic and behavioral success. Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide direct instruction and academic support to students with disabilities Conduct student assessments and track progress Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents Maintain compliance with federal and state special education regulations Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education Active Alaska SPED License or ability to obtain one Previous school-based experience preferred Strong communication and classroom management skills Experience with IEP development and case management Benefits Competitive Weekly Pay Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Relocation Assistance Available Professional Development Support 401(k) Options Supportive School Environment Why Kenai, Alaska?
