$50 Hourly
Schedule:
40 hours per week (OT as approved by PM)

What You Will Do:
The QC Inspector is responsible for performing both field inspections/shop inspections in accordance with the approved project quality control program and procedures being implemented by the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that work performed conforms to the Client Contract Specifications, applicable Codes, Standards and quality control plan. Work closely and coordinate with Project PM, Superintendents, and Foremen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain an open dialog with the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Quality Control Manager. Maintains an open dialog with Project management and other inspectors Interact with QA & Project Managers Generate reports that reflect objective evidence of QC activities Ensure quality related documents are distributed to the project directives Performs inspections according to approved quality control procedures Documents inspection results on the appropriate quality control forms Ensures documented inspection results are concise, complete and clear Ensures all quality control forms are maintained and properly filed Remains cognizant of the quality control procedures and project specifications Attends scheduled meetings Provides technical assistance with the disposition of nonconforming conditions (NCRs) Coordinates Nondestructive Testing with Clients and NDE companies Proficient in Microsoft excel, using spread sheets for project data management Proficient in Adobe or Blue Beam to make weldmaps Organized with the ability to prioritize workload Basic understanding of NDE Techniques and application Strong knowledge of Welding Procedures and Welder Performance Qualifications (ASME, AWS D1.1 and
API 1104
) What You Will Need (minimum qualifications): Certified with AWS as a CWI Welding Inspector (Required) Vessel Repair Experience Tank Fabrication and Repair Experience NSTC API 653 & AAMP Coatings Certifications (Preferred) A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Additional Skills:
Must be proficient in various software applications including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to use Outlook. MS Project and AutoCAD experience a plus.
