As a Special Education Teacher specializing in autism support, you'll provide individualized instruction and foster a welcoming learning environment that encourages every student to thrive. Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification and credentials, or eligibility to obtain them Demonstrated experience teaching students with autism at the elementary level Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create adapted instructional materials and use evidence-based strategies Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with autism Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust approaches as needed Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure coordinated care Create a positive classroom climate that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth Participate in ongoing professional development and school meetings This role is a fantastic fit for educators who want to focus on student success and enjoy extended weekends thanks to a four-day workweek.
