Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a significant impact as a Special Education Teacher working with students in the vibrant Southeast Texas Coast region. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to make a difference across a variety of campuses, with over 50 openings expected, ensuring candidates can find the perfect match for their expertise and location preference. Assignments will focus on one school per educator, making it easy to build strong relationships and provide focused support. Ideal candidates will bring experience and passion for serving students with Autism and severe behavioral needs. Your specialized skills will be a true asset as you collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help every student reach their full potential.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid and active Texas DOE Teaching Certification in Special Education Experience supporting students with Autism and severe behavioral challenges strongly preferred Passion for adapting instruction to meet individual needs across varying age groups Current or pending completion of Texas fingerprinting and background check requirements Strong communication and collaboration abilities Flexibility and willingness to adapt to different school settings
Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored lessons and behavioral interventions in alignment with IEP goals Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment Collaborate with administrators, family members, and specialists to monitor progress and adjust plans Maintain accurate records, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Employ evidence-based strategies for students with a range of abilities and needs
