Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting a dedicated pre-K caseload of 10-15 students. This long-term substitute assignment runs from August 24th, 2026, through November 13th, 2026, and offers the stability of working in a single building each week. With a consistent 37.5-hour weekly schedule, you'll have ample time to build meaningful connections and facilitate early learning growth in an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment. Your specialized expertise and dual certification in both Early Childhood Education and Special Education will be crucial in fostering social, emotional, and academic development for young learners, helping each child achieve their full potential within the school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active dual licensure in Early Childhood Education and Special Education (required) Prior experience supporting early childhood/pre-K students with diverse needs Ability to adapt to a variety of learning styles and implement differentiated instruction Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with families and school teams Dedication to creating a positive, inclusive classroom culture
Primary Responsibilities:
