Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Take your passion for student success to the next level as a Special Education Teacher supporting a focused caseload at the elementary level. This contract opportunity runs from August 5, 2026 to May 21, 2027 and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on a small group of students near Elizabeth, CO. You'll have the opportunity to work full-time in an engaging classroom environment, with the rewarding responsibility of teaching and supporting 6-8 students. Collaborate with a dedicated staff as you design individualized lesson plans and interventions, ensuring each student is given the tools they need to thrive.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain appropriate state licensure Experience with elementary age students preferred Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation Strong communication skills to work with students, families, and colleagues Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles and needs Positive, team-oriented attitude and proactive problem-solving abilities

Provide individualized and group instruction to students in accordance with their IEPs Assess student progress, collect data, and adjust teaching strategies as needed Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff Facilitate IEP meetings and maintain accurate, up-to-date records Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Communicate regularly with families, sharing student growth and addressing concerns Experience the rewards of truly impacting each child's daily life within a close-knit educational community.
