Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Shape the futures of young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a rewarding long-term substitute assignment supporting Pre-K students. This contract opportunity is ideal for an educator passionate about early intervention and inclusive learning. You'll work with a manageable caseload of 10-15 children, each with individual goals and strengths, providing hands-on support and tailored instruction in a single, welcoming school building. Your day-to-day experience will involve creative lesson planning, close collaboration with paraprofessionals and related service providers, and ongoing communication with families to nurture growth and progress. As a valued team member, your expertise will foster a nurturing and engaging environment for every child.
Key Qualifications:
Dual certification in Early Childhood Education and Special Education (required) Experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged students Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring Strong communication and collaboration skills Enthusiasm for creating inclusive, engaging lesson plans adapted to individual learning needs Flexibility and organization to thrive in a structured school settingResponsibilities:
Support a caseload of 10-15 Pre-K students with diverse learning needs Develop and deliver targeted instruction and interventions according to IEPs Monitor and document student progress toward goals Collaborate proactively with related service staff and families Cultivate a positive, encouraging learning atmosphere for all students This opportunity offers full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) and the chance to make a difference from August 24, 2026, through November 13, 2026.
