Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-NICU Job Type Contract Deliver exceptional care to newborns in a high-acuity neonatal intensive care environment. As a Registered Nurse specializing in NICU, you'll play a vital role in supporting medically complex infants and their families with expert clinical skills and compassionate care.
Schedule Details:
D/N rotating or straight night shifts (7:30 PM - 8:00 AM) Every other holiday required Six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule Two-week or six-week assignment rotations Navy blue scrubs required
Qualifications:
Current RN license in good standing At least one year of recent experience in a Level III or IV NICU setting Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications Strong knowledge of NICU protocols and neonatal monitoring equipment Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct care to critically ill newborns Administer medications, manage ventilators, and utilize sophisticated monitoring equipment Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to coordinate patient care Educate and provide emotional support to families throughout the infant's NICU stay Document patient data and interventions accurately in electronic medical records Adhere to infection control standards and hospital protocols at all times
