Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking a Middle School Special Education Teacher to support and co-teach in a dynamic school environment. This contract position is based in Salem, MA, and provides an excellent opportunity to work with middle school students in a collaborative classroom setting. The role requires a strong commitment to individualized education and delivering effective support to a caseload of 11 students.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred Ability to co-teach and collaborate with general education teachers Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to student-centered learning and individualized education plans (IEPs)
Job Details:
Location:
Salem, MA (School setting) Start date: ASAP End date: June 16th
Schedule:
35 hours per week, 5 days per week
Caseload:
11 middle school students Role focuses on co-teaching and delivering specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with general education staff to create inclusive classroom environments Implement tailored instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs Monitor and track student progress, adjusting supports as necessary Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district policies
