Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract position supporting K-12 students in a specialized educational setting near Mariposa, CA. This role is tailored for an experienced Special Education Teacher who thrives in self-contained classrooms serving students identified with Emotional Disabilities. With both elementary (K-6) and secondary (7-12) classrooms, you'll make a lasting impact on learners requiring social-emotional and behavioral support in unique campus environments.
Key Qualifications:
Current California Special Education Teaching License required Background working with students who qualify under Emotional Disability Experience leading social-emotional learning and behavioral interventions in a self-contained setting Skilled in conducting individualized assessments, developing and writing IEPs, and facilitating or attending IEP meetings
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction to students in self-contained classrooms, adapting to both K-6 and 7-12 student needs Foster a positive, structured environment to support social-emotional growth and behavioral regulation Implement and model evidence-based strategies for students with emotional and behavioral challenges Collaborate closely with fellow educators, related service providers, and families to develop and maintain effective IEPs Monitor progress closely, track data, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures Facilitate or participate in IEP meetings, maintaining a student-centered approach in planning and interventions This contract opportunity begins in August 2026 and extends through June 2027, offering 35 hours across five days each week, with compensation ranging between $50 and $60 per hour.
