Responsibilities Function as a clinician, educator and resource for patients within their specialty of care Triage incoming patients ensuring compliance with established admission/acceptance criteria. Direct appointments and referrals as determined by the current criteria. Develop, implement and evaluate the standards of practice and care for the patient population. Demonstrates competence in the clinical skills necessary to carry out assigned job duties. Responsible for tracking system for follow-up appointments related to office visits, laboratory tests and procedures to regularly follow patients monitoring disease status. Answer questions and provide teaching to patients and family members. Provide appropriate and timely documentation in the patient's electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes. Thoroughly understand testing (lab and procedures) values and relationship to patient status with accountability to take next steps, as appropriate to scope and licensure. Responsible for the development and ongoing coordination of care for patients. Act as a consultant both within the institution and to outside agencies or groups. Qualifications Current RN licensure to practice as a registered nurse CPR certification Mandatory Reporter certification Ability to direct others and to exercise judgement in problem situations Creative thinking; analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; self-direction; theoretical implementation and evaluation Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work as a team member Strong computer skills Able to write, read, comprehend and speak fluent English Computer data entry experience Use of usual/customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.Similar remote jobs
