Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an elementary school environment where your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist will make a meaningful impact on young learners. This full-time contract opportunity (Monday through Friday, 8am-3pm) runs from August 2026 through January 2027. You'll focus your skills near Lemon Grove, CA, supporting a diverse group of elementary students during crucial developmental years. Desired candidates bring a passion for fostering communication skills and a commitment to helping each child achieve their potential. Your role centers on providing both direct and indirect services within contracted hours, with no added responsibilities like bus or parent duty after the school day ends. Travel therapists can also take advantage of eligibility for stipends.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current or eligible state licensure in Speech Language Pathology Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Previous experience in a school setting or with elementary-aged children preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations, determine student needs, and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver targeted speech and language therapy (both direct and indirect services) Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support educational success Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all relevant regulations Participate in IEP meetings as required within contracted hours Why Consider This Role?
