Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire Step into a rewarding role providing speech-language services to students in a school-based setting close to the Bucksport, ME area! We're seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to deliver in-person support following the traditional school year calendar. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a meaningful experience working alongside educators and helping students achieve their communication goals.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active SLP license in the state Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Previous school-based experience preferred, though dedicated new graduates welcomed Strong collaboration and communication abilities Commitment to serving diverse student populations
Position Highlights:
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to K-12 students in a welcoming school environment Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress according to school guidelines Collaborate regularly with fellow educators, parents, and other professionals to foster student growth Support students with a broad range of communication needs, including articulation, language, fluency, and social skills Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Engage with staff development opportunities to enhance your skills This full-time assignment spans 183 workdays, aligned with the school calendar, with up to 8 hours scheduled each day—allowing for meaningful, focused interaction with students and school teams.
