Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make an impact in the upcoming 2026-2027 school year by providing speech-language pathology expertise to students in elementary grades near the scenic Lakeside, MT area. This contract opportunity is tailored for dedicated SLPs, especially those with CCC certification and experience in school-based settings. With a flexible one-day-a-week schedule, you'll work with a manageable K-6 caseload, supporting approximately 15 students. Your role will span two locations: the primary assignment is near Lakeside, and for half a day you'll serve students at Valley View Elementary, just 40 miles away. The schedule aligns with a Monday-Thursday school week and runs from August 31 through June 3, providing an excellent balance of professional engagement and personal flexibility.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Active state licensure as required for school-based practice Previous experience in school settings, working with K-6 students Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to travel between two school sites in a single dayKey Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 15 K-6 students Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families Document progress and maintain accurate records according to district and state requirements Collaborate with teachers, staff, and caregivers to support student goals Split day between two school sites as scheduled This is an engaging opportunity to support student success while maintaining a flexible, part-time commitment.
