To Be Determined Job Description The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supports students in Overlook Middle School and Oakmont High School by providing comprehensive assessment, direct and consultative services, and case management in alignment with IDEA and Massachusetts 603 CMR regulations. The SLP collaborates with building-based teams to ensure students can access instruction in the least restrictive environment. Key Responsibilities
Evaluation & Reporting:
Conduct initial and three-year reevaluation assessments; write clear, comprehensive reports; present findings at Team meetings. Make professional recommendations through the team process.
IEP Development:
Draft IEP goals/objectives aligned to evaluation data; write service delivery grids; complete progress reports on schedule. Data collections should be taken in accordance with developed IEP goals to demonstrate performance.
Service Delivery:
Provide direct/consult services (individual/small group; push-in/pull-out) addressing articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social/pragmatic communication.
Meetings & Compliance:
Attend and actively participate in initial, reevaluation, and annual review Team meetings; meet all timelines and documentation requirements.
RTI/MTSS
Support Response to Intervention as needed (screening, short-term interventions, data tracking, parent communication).
Collaboration:
Partner with teachers, counselors, related service providers, and administrators to design supports and accommodations; provide classroom strategies.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records and data; complete required district/Medicaid documentation per procedure. AAC/AT (as needed): Collaborate with AT/AAC specialists to support students using low-/high-tech communication systems; assist with training for staff and families.
Professional Practice:
Follow ASHA Code of Ethics and district policies; participate in PD; maintain licensure.
