Join our dynamic educational team as a Speech-Language Pathologist dedicated to supporting students' communication development within school settings. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders to help students achieve their full potential. Your expertise will directly impact students' ability to participate fully in classroom activities and social interactions, fostering an inclusive learning environment. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication needs. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique goals and challenges. Provide targeted speech therapy interventions to improve articulation, language comprehension, social communication, and swallowing functions. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to integrate therapy strategies into classroom activities and daily routines. Monitor student progress regularly and adjust therapy approaches accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate families about speech development milestones and provide guidance for ongoing support at home. Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and compliance records in accordance with school policies. Qualifications Valid NM licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or equivalent credential. Prior experience working in school environments or with pediatric populations is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of pediatric speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions, and medical terminology. Experience conducting patient assessments and designing effective intervention strategies for children with diverse needs. Familiarity with early intervention practices and the importance of developmental milestones in speech-language development. Ability to communicate clearly with students, families, educators, and healthcare providers to foster collaborative care.
