Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' communication growth while working within a collaborative school environment. This contract-based position invites a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to contribute their expertise in school-based settings in the Shelton, WA area. Work alongside passionate educators and clinical professionals committed to nurturing students' language and communication skills.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Hold an active SLPA license and meet all state certification requirements. Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to assist in providing therapy under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Strong communication and organizational abilities. Adaptability and enthusiasm for supporting diverse student populations. Professionalism and reliability in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with implementing individualized and group therapy sessions designed by a supervising SLP. Support progress tracking and documentation for each student. Prepare materials and maintain a welcoming, organized therapy environment. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to help meet students' needs. Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as appropriate. Uphold confidentiality and ethical practices, ensuring student wellbeing is a top priority.
