Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based position as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, where your skills and passion can make a difference in students' lives. This contract role is ideal for professionals who excel at assisting students with communication challenges within educational and healthcare settings.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license or certification Previous experience working in school environments preferred Comfort collaborating with educators, speech-language pathologists, and families Strong background in AAC devices and communication strategies is a plus Understanding of IEP procedures and documentation requirements Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities Ability to support diverse learners and adapt therapy to individual needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Collaborate with staff and families to support student communication goals Implement therapy sessions in both individual and group settings Record and report on student performance and progress in accordance with IEPs Prepare learning materials and adapt activities as needed for targeted outcomes Participate in team meetings, professional development, and student planning conferences Maintain documentation and follow district and clinical protocols Benefit from the opportunity to help students thrive in their communication skills while developing your own expertise in a supportive school environment.
