Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-8 students for the full 2026-2027 school year as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant educational environment near Livingston, CA. This full-time position (35 hours per week) is ideal for those passionate about fostering communication skills and making a lasting difference in children's academic and personal growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid and active California SLPA license Previous experience in a school setting (preferred) or healthcare setting Knowledge of child speech and language development, with ability to implement intervention plans Strong interpersonal and communication skills—able to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families Commitment to working the entire school year (2026-2027) with full-time availability Positive, flexible attitude and a desire to support diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct student services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, focusing on speech, language, and communication goals Implement and track progress on individualized treatment plans for K-8 students Assist in screening, assessment, and documentation as directed by supervising SLP Provide helpful resources and support to teachers and families to enhance student progress Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative approach for student success
