Job Description

A skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility is seeking a PRN/Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary care team. Our organization is committed to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care in a supportive clinical environment. The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in accordance with physician orders and established clinical standards. Responsibilities Conduct skilled speech and language therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Implement evidence-based interventions to improve resident independence, safety, and communication abilities Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies and systems when appropriate Educate residents, families, caregivers, and staff regarding treatment plans and therapeutic techniques Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and coordinate diagnostic swallowing procedures as ordered Supervise students, Clinical Fellowship participants, and support personnel in accordance with state and professional guidelines Maintain timely and accurate documentation, billing records, and clinical notes Participate in screening rounds and identify resident care or environmental safety concerns Communicate recommendations for program development, quality improvement, and resident outcomes Qualifications Current active Speech Language Pathologist license required Current ASHA certification required Knowledge of current speech therapy practices, regulations, and standards related to post-acute or long-term care settings Strong communication, clinical, and documentation skills preferred #IND2
Pay:
$55.00 per hour
