Job Description

Company Overview Wayne Countryview Care and Rehabilitation is a skilled nursing facility in beautiful Wayne, NE. Licensed for 60 beds and our census averages around 50, with 4-6 skilled patients. We also offer outpatient therapy services to our community. The therapy team of one PT, two PTAs, two OTs, and we are looking for our SLP! We do have two private treatment rooms attached to the gym, with one that is designed for SLP treatment. Our therapists have socialized training in Abilities Care, Lymphedema, Parkinson's including LSVT and PWRmoves, and wound care. What will you bring to the team? Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide exceptional therapy services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for adults. This role involves assessing, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans to support adults speech, language, and communication needs, dsyphagia and cognitive therapy. We are open to CFY SLPs as well as CCC-SLPs. We currently are capable for applying for the Nebraska's Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). That can reward up to $25,000 for a relocation bonus and there's also a retention bonus offered. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities in pediatric patients. Develop personalized therapy plans that align with each patient unique needs and developmental goals. Deliver evidence-based speech therapy interventions aimed at improving independence. Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, dietary and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent support across environments. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with organizational and Medicare standards. Stay current with advancements in speech therapy techniques, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to medical care. Requirements Valid licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist with relevant state or national certification. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy related to speech production, swallow, cognitive therapy and medical terminology. Proven ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop effective treatment strategies. Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to providing compassionate patient care while adhering to best practices in speech therapy.
Pay:
$43.00 - $50.98 per hour
